Zdenko Časar

Zdenko Časar received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Rennes and the University of Maribor. He has 20 years of experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry. The main areas of his research and development work are linked to the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients, drug analytics and drug stability. Currently, at Lek/Sandoz he is Head of the Early Development Area at Sandoz Development Center Slovenia. He is also a full professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana. He published over 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals and was granted over 80 patents.
