Prof. Yanbo Li is with the Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Sciences at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He obtained his Bachelor’s (2005) and Master’s (2007) degrees in Physics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and his Ph.D. degree (2010) in Engineering Synthesis from The University of Tokyo (UT). He then worked as a Postdoc Fellow in Prof. Kazunari Domen’s group at UT (2010-2014) and in the Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis (JCAP) at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (2014-2016). His recent research has been devoted to photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting, with special focus on developing novel visible-light-absorbing semiconductors (Ta3N5, BaTaO2N) and self-healing OER catalysts for PEC water oxidation. He serves as the Associate Editor of Nanoscale Research Letters and Journal of Electronic Science & Technology. He has been awarded the JSPS Postdoc Fellowship, CSC-Jingbo Award, National Young Scientist Award for Solar Photochemistry & Photocatalysis, etc.
